Interests

From an early age, my fascination with technology was sparked when I first experimented with a Raspberry Pi at the age of 12. Since then, my passion for all things Tech has only grown, and I have developed a keen interest in integrating hardware and software to create tangible and fully functional products.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I indulge in various hobbies that enrich my life. Exploring the great outdoors, accompanied by my loyal companion Hugo the Cocker Spaniel, is a favorite pastime of mine. I also find joy in traveling, cycling, and immersing myself in music. Additionally

Software Engineer

2023 - 2025

Lloyds Banking Group, Edinburgh, UK

Innovating and enhancing software development practices within the Insurance, Pensions & Investments division. I built and supported colleague-facing applications, including several legacy systems, and led migrations to modern platforms and tooling. I also drove the delivery of an event-driven workflow platform ("Connect"), enabling colleagues to quickly build integrations across multiple data sources using OpenAPI-driven onboarding. This accelerated proof-of-concept development and reduced time-to-production from weeks to under 48 hours, resulting in significant time and cost savings while easing operational demand and improving customer communication.

Alongside this, I built internal tooling used for day-to-day operations and regulatory reporting, mentored two Software Engineering Apprentices to successful completion of their programmes, and led 2x projects from ideation through to production in a highly regulated and controlled environment. This included full ownership of the route-to-live CI/CD process across BLD, INT, PRE and PRD environments, producing end-of-test reports for each stage to meet strict governance and compliance requirements.
